Best Place for the Carnivores
Vegan’s beware: one of the best meat counters I have ever encountered lies only a few blocks from campus. Wolfe’s Market is generally regarded as the place to buy groceries if you do not have a car, but even those of you with wheels ought to check out the amazing meat counter there. Almost any cut of meat you could ever want can be found here; if they do not have it in stock, the friendly folks behind the counter will do what they can to help you track down whatever it is you are looking for. For all of the sausage fans out there, Wolfe’s serves up amazing Italian sausage (I prefer the hot variety), as well as bratwurst. For fans of seafood, Wolfe’s delivers in spades. Not only do they offer a solid variety of seafood, from shrimp and scallops to fresh tuna and salmon, but they also are able to special order sushi-grade varieties of fish for any aspiring sushi masters out there. For lovers of meat, it does not get much better than Wolfe’s market.

I love Wolfe's
Market. I'm from Washington, DC, and it's like no other place
I know. Wolfe's symbolizes what I like about Claremont: small-town
friendliness in a cosmopolitan setting. Wolfe's has helpful
employees (so rare in retail today!) and a wide selection of quality products
you don't see at your local Ralph's or Von's. From Dr. Bob's Ice Creams
to the tastiest homemade tortilla chips around, Wolfe's has so many
delicious things!
Plus--it's just
so much fun to shop at Wolfe's Market. The environment is
so nice!
Thanks--and keep
up the good work. (Let me know when you expand to DC!)

I would like to email Tom Wolfe directly
regarding an awesome job done by one of your employees. She
went out of her way to prepare a vegetable presentation basket
that I used in conjunction with a business proposal. It all
went over beautifully! I have already called Yvette back and
thanked her personally but I wanted to bring it to the attention
of your store's owner. Neither Albertson's or WholeFoods Market
were able to help me out at all. I'm in Boston and found your
store on the web while searching for groceries in the Upland
area when I got in touch with Yvette. She did for me for $50
the same day what the big grocery's said they'd charge around
$130 for the same thing but couldn't do it without 24 hrs
notice. She saved my butt.
Putting it simply,
Yvette helped make my proposal a success. I just wanted to
make sure that she is recognized for a job well done! Thank
you!
